Gang boxes for keypads, dimmers and switches
Place keypads, dimmers and switches on one faceplate in one click, with faceplates counted for the quote.
Where it helps
Document a wall of controls as one faceplate while keeping each gang’s device number, equipment row and cabling. This helps connect the layout on the plan to the quantities and information needed for installation.
What changed
- Keypad box and Dimmer box in Lighting: 2 to 6 gangs, choose each one, place the whole box in one click.
- The box moves, turns and copies as one; each gang keeps its own number, in one label card.
- Equipment lists the faceplates by size, and wired keypads join the keypad link on the Lutron processor.
Use it on your next plan
- In Lighting, choose Keypad box or Dimmer box, select two to six gangs and choose the device for each position.
- Choose Place on plan, then click the location. Select a gang to move, turn or copy the whole box, or to edit that device’s details.
- Review the faceplate quantities in Equipment and the CSV, alongside each gang’s own device row. Check the box information in the cable schedule before handoff.

A dimmer and two switches by a door used to be three separate icons, lined up by hand. Lighting now has two gang box tiles. Keypad box for wired keypads, Dimmer box for wireless.
Dimmer box starts with two dimmers. Add a gang, and make two of them switches. Place on plan, and one click puts the whole box down. One faceplate. Each gang keeps its own number. And one label card for the whole box.
Click a gang, and its number lights up in the card. Turn it, and the whole box turns round its middle. Drag it to the wall. It moves as one. Need a fan control as well? Add it from Properties.
Keypad box works the same way: three wired keypads for the front door. They join the keypad link, on the Lutron processor. And Equipment counts the faceplates by size, ready for the quote. Fewer clicks for every wall of controls, and a faceplate count you can quote from. Try it on your next project.
