Let AI find the rooms, walls, doors and windows on a blueprint, so every icon, list and cable schedule can say which room it belongs to.
Where it helps
Rooms on a blueprint used to be only lines and text, so the installer read room names off the plan and schedules could only be sorted by rack. Prepare a blueprint once and the plan knows its rooms. Find rooms with AI reads the plan and suggests a type for each room, and every tool also works by hand. Once the rooms are in use, each icon shows its room, Views can draw the rooms and walls on the plan and in the PDF, Equipment groups by room, and the cable schedule gets a Room column and can be listed room by room.
What changed
- Prepare a blueprint in three steps: Clean up, Scale and Rooms. Press the sparkle to let AI find the rooms, walls, doors and windows, with a suggested type for each room, or draw any of them by hand. Check the result, fix anything with the same tools, and press Done.
- Every icon knows its room: Properties › Room shows Auto and the room found, or a room you pick by hand, such as for a keypad by a door. New room… adds a room that isn't drawn yet.
- Rooms and walls is one switch in Views, with Show for rooms, walls, doors and windows and obstructions; they print in PDFs made with that View. Equipment can be grouped by room, and the cable schedule PDF and CSV get a Room column and can be listed room by room.
- Each workspace has free AI runs to start, and an Owner can buy more when they are used up. Only the blueprint image is sent, and only when you press Find rooms.
Use it on your next plan
- Select a blueprint: Properties › Sheet › Blueprints, then Prepare blueprint. Clean up anything the plan doesn't need, and set the scale if it isn't set.
- In Rooms, press the sparkle › Find rooms. When it finishes, check the rooms and their suggested types, fix what it got wrong, then press Done.
- Select an icon to see its room under Properties › Room. Pick another room by hand when the room found isn't the one you want, or choose New room….
- In Views, turn on Rooms and walls to show them on the plan and in that View's PDF. In Equipment, use the icon beside the filter to group by room. In the Cabling tab's gear › Project settings, choose Cable schedule by › Room.

Want your equipment organized by room? Until now, your plan didn't know its rooms. Now AI finds them in one click, or you draw them yourself. Select the blueprint, open Prepare blueprint, go to Rooms, and press Find rooms.
AI reads the plan: the rooms, the walls, the doors and windows. About a minute later, every room is found and named, with a suggested type. Anything missing? Fix it in a click. This room gets a type. Then press Done.
Now every device knows its room. This keypad says Living Room. Mounted by the door? Pick the room yourself. The arrow goes back to Auto. Your equipment list groups by room, in one click.
And the cable schedule gets a section for every room, so the installer knows where every cable goes. Open Share, and it's right there in the printed schedule. The rooms and walls go right on your drawings, and into the PDF. Fewer questions on site. Every room found, on every list. Try it on your next project.
